Outlaw Biker Accidentally Reads A Free MC Romance

STURGIS, SD— A local outlaw biker, known only by his road name “Diesel,” is experiencing an identity crisis after unintentionally reading a free MC romance novel that “hit way too close to home.”

“I thought it was a club newsletter,” Diesel admitted, rubbing his tattooed temple while staring at his Kindle in disbelief. “Next thing I know, I’m three chapters deep, and this fictional dude named Hawk has me questioning my entire backstory.”

According to sources, Diesel downloaded Hawk, the first book in the Guardians of Mayhem MC series, under the assumption that it was a true crime exposé. However, after just a few pages, he found himself captivated by the brooding anti-hero, the steamy forbidden love, and the perfectly timed slow-burn tension.

“Turns out I’ve been living my life all wrong,” he confessed. “I thought running guns and getting into bar fights was enough. But this guy’s got a mafia rival, a tortured past, and somehow still finds time to play the piano? I barely have time to fix my carburetor.”

Diesel’s club brothers were equally disturbed by his recent introspection.

“He keeps muttering about ‘layered emotional depth’ and ‘longing stares across smoky dive bars,’” said club treasurer Chains. “Last night, he told me I should ‘find a woman who challenges me emotionally’ instead of just trying to hook up with the bartender at every stop.”

The club has since taken drastic measures, including banning eReaders from the clubhouse and mandating extra bare-knuckle boxing sessions to restore Diesel’s former gritty edge.

Still, despite their best efforts, Diesel remains distracted, reportedly weighing the pros and cons of fabricating a long-lost love, a secret half-brother, or a devastating betrayal to add more emotional stakes to his already dangerous lifestyle.

“The book said he had a mafia enemy named Lorenzo who tried to take over his turf,” Diesel explained, scrolling through his contacts. “I don’t know any Lorenzos, but I did piss off a guy named Lenny over a pool game once. That could work.”

At press time, Diesel was spotted at the local tattoo shop, inquiring about getting a meaningful quote inked across his ribs in a romantic but still badass cursive font.
