He’s ruthless, relentless, and utterly off-limits. She’s the one temptation he can’t afford—and the only one he can’t resist.

Dante has always played by his family’s rules—until now. Sent to claim Gramton, a city with no reigning mafia, he sees his chance to build his empire on his terms. But power is never given freely, and as rivals close in, Dante faces an unexpected distraction: Evie, a fiery, guarded woman with a past that’s as complicated as his own.

Evie knows better than to trust a man like Dante. Charming, intense, and undeniably dangerous, he’s everything she’s sworn to avoid. But when his dark world collides with her carefully built sanctuary, she’s forced to question everything she thought she knew about love, loyalty, and survival.

As their passion ignites, enemies emerge, threatening to destroy them both. Dante’s growing empire is under fire, and Evie is caught in the crosshairs. To protect her, Dante must risk everything—his power, his future, even his life. But will Evie’s love be his salvation, or will his empire’s bloody rise be their undoing?

Betrayal runs deep. Desire burns hotter. And in this deadly game, the only rule is that nothing is off-limits.

Perfect for fans of steamy, high-stakes mafia romance, "Bound By Loyalty" delivers a heart-pounding blend of passion, danger, and unforgettable characters that will leave you begging for more.

Look Inside

Dante had never been to an animal shelter before, and he had no idea what to expect as he walked through the door. Ever since Evie’s furry friend brought them together, she’d been on his mind.

Her smile had truly caught his attention. Evie was beautiful, with short blonde hair, big brown eyes, and a sexy edge from the stud in her nose. But it was her smile that transformed her from attractive to stunning. He knew he had to have her.

Things had been busy since he arrived in the city, but now he finally had the chance to track her down and make a move. He was long overdue for a casual hookup, and he hadn’t had much time to meet anyone else.

Evie was sitting behind a tall desk as he walked inside, and his gaze traveled over her. The low-cut top she wore showed off her cleavage, and his cock grew hard before she even reached him.

“Hey! I didn’t think I’d see you here,” she said, coming out from behind the desk. Her jeans could have been painted on, they were so tight. His desire for her confirmed coming here was worth the effort.

“Well, you put the idea of a dog in my head. I figured it couldn’t hurt to look.”

Excitement flashed across her face, and he almost felt guilty for the lie. Almost.

“Let’s head to the back. We’re at full capacity, so there are plenty of options.”

The double doors leading to the back had a keypad, and Evie put in the code while he unashamedly checked out her ass. He wondered if there was a place in this building where he could peel those jeans off her.

As she walked with him down a hallway lined with dogs in crates, he wondered if she felt this chemistry between them. She chattered about the animals they passed, and he stared at her lips, imagining them pressed against his.

“These are the dogs that have been with us the longest,” Evie said, gesturing to one side of the hall. “These were the ones at the park. Unfortunately, only three of them were adopted.”

The light in her eyes dimmed as she looked at one of the dogs, and Dante felt an unexpected urge to comfort her. He wasn’t the comforting type, but there was something about Evie that made him want to bring back her smile. Seeing it fade caused a pang in his chest.

“Is this my friend?” he asked, gesturing to a crate with the dog that ran to him the day they met.

“Yeah, that’s Milo.” She leaned close and lowered her voice. “Don’t tell the others, but he’s my favorite.”

Dante grinned. This close, he noticed how long her dark eyelashes were, framing her brown eyes with gold flecks.

“And you don’t want to adopt him?” Dante asked, his voice low.

“I’d love to,” she said, that sadness in her eyes again. “But I can’t have pets where I live. I just hope that I can find a good home for Milo. He deserves so much more than life in a cage. Can you imagine what it feels like to be trapped like that?”

He could. It wasn’t something that he could tell her, but he felt like he’d been trapped in his position in his father’s mafia for years. Moving here was his way of claiming freedom in a way that this dog couldn’t.

But he could help the animal.

“You know, I can give him a good life.”

Dante almost couldn’t believe those words just came out of his mouth. He’d never seriously considered getting a pet. Coming here was just supposed to be a means to an end, a way to hit on Evie and hopefully tempt her into his bed.

Adopting a dog wasn’t supposed to be a part of this, but the way that Evie grabbed his arm with wide, excited eyes made it impossible to back out. He couldn’t let her down.

Twenty minutes later, he was signing paperwork in a tiny office with Milo laying next to his chair, gnawing on a rubber chew toy. Glancing down, he had to admit that he liked the big furball. Despite his escape attempt the day they met, the dog seemed to have a calm personality.

“I’m so glad that you’re doing this,” Evie said as she tucked the papers into a folder. She came around the desk and knelt in front of him to pet Milo. She was so close and he barely resisted the urge to pull her into his lap.

“We used to do home visits in advance, but honestly, we’ve adjusted things since we’ve been at capacity for so long. Instead, you get a chance to adjust to life with the dog, a trial run if you will, and we’ll do a home visit in a couple of days. Then, another one further down the road. If things are going well then, we’ll step away.”

“You’ll do the home visits.”

It wasn’t a question. If he was going to have someone come to his apartment twice, it was going to be her.

Evie had been professional for this whole interaction but now, heat flared in her eyes. She was still looking up at him as she gave Milo some love. “Of course. I wouldn’t pass up the chance to see Milo.”

Her teasing tone made him smile and lean toward her until only inches separated them. “We’ll both look forward to it.”

Evie’s lips parted, and he was about to press a kiss to her mouth, but Milo had other ideas. Suddenly getting to his feet, he nudged Evie, making her tumble backwards onto her butt. As frustrating as it was to be stopped before he got a taste of her, Dante couldn’t be angry as he watched her laugh. He could wait until the home visit for more.
